When you think of hyacinths, a blue or purple flower probably springs to mind. Hyacinth Fondant breaks that mould: a deep pink shade that you don’t often come across and which instantly gives a border a different character.

Fondant is an early bloomer and is therefore one of the first sources of fragrance of the season, for you and for the first bees seeking nectar after winter. The fragrance is just as intense as that of its blue counterparts, though slightly softer in character, in keeping with the colour. This pink hyacinth combines surprisingly well with white tulips or the blue of grape hyacinths, creating a spring border that looks soft rather than bright.
