Collection Lasagne Cool Colours - ORG

The lasagne method is one of the cleverest tricks in bulb planting: you arrange several varieties of bulbs in layers on top of one another, each at the correct depth. They flower at different times, but simply grow intermingled — and the result is a pot that becomes more beautiful as the months go by. The Lasagne Cool Colours Collection applies this principle in a harmonious mix of cool, soft colours.

Three layers, one story

At the bottom of the pot go the Tulipa Salmon Impression — a large, elegant tulip in a soft salmon pink that flowers in April and May. In the middle is the Narcis Papillon Blanc, a white, subtly fragrant little daffodil that appears earlier in the season. At the top are a mix of purple and white crocuses, which are the very first to open, as early as February or March. Together, they provide a continuous flowering period of three to four months.

Planting in your own pot

The kit contains 32 bulbs and comes with planting instructions. You use your own pot — large enough for the three layers, with drainage. Plant in the autumn, place the pot outside in the cold (the bulbs need this to take root) and wait. As soon as spring arrives, the bulbs will do the work themselves. Looks lovely on a patio, balcony or doorstep. And an excellent gift for someone who doesn’t have a garden but loves flowers. Organically grown, certified NL-BIO-01.
