A Perennial for the Shade

Brunnera macrophylla prefers to grow in shade or partial shade, in humus-rich soil that retains moisture well. In full sun, the foliage can scorch, so a spot under trees or shrubs is ideal.

Once established, the plant requires little maintenance. If the foliage loses its appeal over time, you can simply trim it back; fresh, green foliage will grow back.
