The name Jetfire was not chosen at random. This dwarf daffodil moves; its backward-curving yellow petals catch the wind and the flower dances along in a way that larger, heavier daffodils never do. It flowers in March, vigorously, full of energy and a must-have in any garden. Yellow with an orange cup: fresh, cheerful and visible from afar.
Early and naturalised
Jetfire is one of the earliest spring flowers – it appears as early as March, when the garden is barely awake. At that time, it is a valuable source of nectar for early bees. It is also particularly reliable as a naturalised plant: it returns every year in nutrient-rich, well-drained soil and spreads slowly. In the lawn, in a border or in a pot – it thrives everywhere.
Planting and combining
Plant the bulbs in autumn at a depth of around 10 cm. The Jetfire thrives in sun or partial shade and is not fussy about soil type. It combines beautifully with early crocuses for a continuous flowering period from February to April, and with Scilla siberica for a blue-and-yellow contrast. It also thrives in a pot on the balcony – early-flowering, compact and full of character. Organically grown, certified NL-BIO-01.
