Red Currant Shrub - ORG
Reference: F1002
Ribes Rubrum Jonkheer van Tets' is a red currant. The shrub grows vigorously and has a high fruit yield. It is one of the earliest ripening red berries, they are ripe for picking at the end of june. The berries grow in long clusters and have a sour, but fresh taste. Ideal for pie filling or as jam. The shrub blooms in spring whit small green-white flowers. Yearly pruning in early spring leads to more and bigger berries. Pruning involves cutting the faded branches to a small side branch. This also keeps the shrub nice and compact. The shrub is self-pollinating and attracts butterflies and bees. It can be placed anywhere: straight into the soil in the garden, or potted on the balcony or terrace. It grows in any soil and likes to be in full sun.
Organically grown. 1 plant per pot, 1 lt, with abundant organic soil life.
