Bee Buffet Shadow Corner - ORG

Every garden has a spot like that. That little corner under the tree, along the fence or on the north side of the house where the sun never really reaches. The ‘Cool Corner’ Bee Buffet is made just for that spot: 40 organic bulbs in four varieties that all thrive in partial shade, naturalise as if they’ve always belonged there, and also attract bees to that forgotten corner.

Four varieties, one story

Scilla Siberica kicks things off in early spring with a carpet of azure blue. Narcissus ‘Jetfire’ — a small yellow daffodil with backward-curving petals — follows soon after. Ornithogalum ‘White Trophy’ brings a touch of white and tranquillity, and Puschkinia libanotica rounds off the display with its delicate pale blue flowers featuring a dark stripe. Together, they provide a continuous flowering period lasting for weeks.

Plant and forget

Plant the bulbs in the autumn in a semi-shaded or shaded spot, in nutrient-rich, slightly moist soil. All four varieties naturalise easily — they spread a little further each year and become even more beautiful. Once planted, they require no further attention.
