In nature, it is rare to find just one colour blooming alongside another, and that is precisely what this Hyacinthus Mix capitalises on. A mix of blue, pink and white, in the same border or pot, instantly adds more depth than a single-colour patch, even in a small space.

One spot, multiple scents at once

Each colour of hyacinth has its own subtle nuance of scent, and with a mix you can smell these layers intermingling rather than a single distinct scent. For the first bees and bumblebees of the year, this is a welcome, concentrated source of food from which they’re sure to benefit. The soft buzzing of the bees is an added bonus. The mix works just as well on a balcony as it does in a large border: a few bulbs in a shallow planter are enough to create a colourful spring scene by the front door or on the terrace.

Also lovely in a vase
