• When is the best time to sow?
  That varies depending on the type of seed. Many flower and vegetable seeds can be sown directly outdoors from mid-spring onwards, whilst heat-loving varieties such as tomatoes and peppers are best started indoors or in a greenhouse. You can sow sprouts all year round, indoors on your windowsill.
• What is the difference between flower seeds, vegetable seeds and sprouts?
  Flower seeds grow into ornamental flowers for borders, flowerbeds or vases. Vegetable seeds yield a harvest from your own vegetable garden, from seed to fully grown plant. Sprouts are harvested as young shoots, often within a week, making them the quickest and easiest option.

• Can you sow seeds without a garden or vegetable patch?

• How do you store seeds you’re not using straight away?
  Store unused seeds in a dry, dark and cool place, preferably in their original packaging. This ensures they retain their germination capacity for as long as possible until you’re ready to sow them next time.
